An outer shell of the hat is made of felted wool fabric, which acts as water resistant shell. The nature of the fabric is such that it absorbs moisture much slower than most other fabrics.
Cotton lining is filled and padded with layers of cotton, wool felt, viscose (rayon) and flax fibers.
For your convenience an insignia will come unattached to the hat.

Ordered this as part of my preteens’ Halloween 2021 costume. The measurement instructions were easy to follow. Ordering was easy to complete. I had trust that the package would arrive safely, which is hard for me to come by as we’ve had troubles the past two years with shipping packages. This order arrived slightly earlier than expected and it garnered more excitement taking it out of the packaging than when we realized it arrived. The USPS packaging belied the quality of this purchase. We opted for no pins but did receive one and appreciate the gesture. The fit is PERFECT. My preteen couldn’t restrain from wearing it early and snuck it to school. It definitely looks good on its own and looks good when worn. We untied the cording holding the ear flaps up, and found this even more enjoyable. I even got to wear it for a little and now want one of my own. I really like the quilted finish inside the crown. I’m not sure if my child is still wearing it to school but I would definitely recommend anyone to check y’all out and order these. I’m hoping I inherit this one after the next two or three growth spurts.

Without a doubt one of, if not the most, comfortable and form fitting ushankas I've ever worn. It was a little snug when it arrived, but their instructions on how to stretch it to fit worked perfectly. I have recommended this site to many of my friends now.

I say that this is very good for cold weather. My father and me will go hiking in north arizona but we will bring these hats to be warm. We are very happy!

Many thanks for the speedy service! I love the hat - even though I went for the cheaper, artificial fur, it is incredibly warm and just right for Wisconsin winter. Highly recommended and ideal for those with a hat size outside of one size fits all!
