I ordered two myself many years ago, and most always someone comments and wants one. This is about the 10th one I ordered for someone else. They are as ecstatic to get their ushanka as I am happy to help them get it. Without exaggeration, I go North just to get more opportunities to wear this beautiful hat!

Best extreme cold weather hat ever. The colder the better Worth every penny. Perfect fit they run small order 1size larger. It has draw string built in. fur is 2nd to none. love this hat. I wore it in 14 degree weather deer hunting best hat ever.

This rabbit fur ushanka is really well made. I only got to wear it once though. The weather did not comply. The sizing is perfect, and the inner drawstring allows a perfect fit. The hat was absolutely beautiful, well constructed, and top quality. I was pleased that it was exactly sized, so it fit perfectly. The hat is very warm and came just in time to wear during a recent blizzard. The website was also very easy to use. Shipping was quick and came exactly as promised. I was also happy to receive information about how to stretch an ushanka, if needed. I was able to do this to one that I had received as a gift several years ago which was a bit too tight to wear.

I really love it. After about 5 months and good care it's still super soft and keeps me warm and save wherever I go, no matter how harsh the weatherconditions are. -20°C (-4°F) is absolutely no problem, maybe even more but it doesn't get colder where I life.

The fur is so soft and beautiful! It does shed a little for the first few days. This was a gift for my son and he tells me it is super warm! We originally purchased a 58 after using the measuring instructions , but had to reorder a size 60 and that fit perfectly.

I told her a smaller size by accident and tried to figure out just which company Amazon used in their link. I discovered that Amazon didn't drop ship this but still wasn't sure what Russian hat to expect. To finally just keep everyone happy (including myself, and my friend blindly buying the hat) I ordered a bigger one direct from ushanka.com. Both hats have now arrived for Christmas, and both are of ushanka's import. My luck brother who was born with a regular sized head now gets a great hat too!! I wish I had bought this years ago. When the weather gets to minus five celsius, I bring out my ushanka and my head immediately thanks me. Any colder than minus 10 and the ear flaps come down. Keeping your head very warm makes the rest of your body feel warmer, too, since you lose so much head from your head. This ushanka provides a thoroughly superior level of warmth from a simple cap. I followed the provided measurement instructions, and the fit was perfect.

I bought the first ushanka a couple of years ago, because my son was learning about WW2 in school and badly wanted one. The field soldier ushanka was fantastic and he wore it until he grew out of it. Still looks the same and friend's kid now wears it. (Wouldn't take it off first three days, slept with it!) The Ushanka arrived on time and in perfect condition. It is very warm and comfortable to wear. The only problem found was with the sizing, which ran a bit snug. This was easily remedied by stretching the Ushanka according to the instructions located on the seller's web site. After one day of stretching the hat fits perfectly.
